"If it fits, it fits. Enjoy it, people."
Side note before diving into self-sabotage:
There are always going to be people trying to rush or elongate your timing. But remember, it's YOUR timing.
Emma and I met recently and instantly clicked. We didn't need years and years of knowing each other to know that we were going to be best friends.
Whether it's with friendships or romantic relationships, people are always going to be telling you you're moving too quickly or waiting too long. Remember that ultimately, it's your life and you are the only one who is going to know the best timing for you.
"You always make time for things that matter."
One limiting belief so many people struggle with is believing they don't have time. We all have the same amount of time in a day: 24 hours. Not having time ins't the issue, it's how you choose to prioritize your time.
We self-sabotage by convincing ourselves we don't have time to work towards our goals, when really we're filling our time with activities and chores of less importance.
You might have a full-time job or a family to take care of or even both. All those things are very important to put your time towards. It's the endless scrolling on instagram, excessive cleaning, etc. that's used to prolong starting or completing your goals.
"We take away the power from the fear."
Self-sabotage often stems from a place of fear. Maybe you're afraid of failure or embarrassment or the financial commitment of your goal.
We can get so deep into our fears that what we want to achieve completely takes the back seat.
You can take power away from fear. It's important to surround yourself with a strong support system.
Talk to them about what's scaring you! By laying it all out, we are already starting to take the power back. You can't do life alone. Community is so necessary.
Fear is a part of life and that's okay. But the key is to learn how to live with the fear and be okay with the nerves; don't just let it take you over.
